xelba signs memorandum of understanding with the state of Haryana, India
On Friday 11 May 2018, at a dinner in the House of Lords, Rakesh Gandhi on behalf of xelba signed a memorandum of understanding with Shri Manohar, the Honourable Chief Minister of Haryana. The aim of this document was to enter into a partnership with the state to provide both the tools and expertise to implement IoT technology into their cities as they look to evolve into smart cities.
xelba will be working with the state to establish a Development Centre in the city of Gurugram, in conjunction with a LoRa wider area network (LoRaWAN) to enable the type of infrastructure required to create this smart city. A major benefit of this type of technology is that it can be accessed by both the public and private sectors to improve their energy usage and ‘smart’ offerings. Already preliminary estimates show that the use of IoT and LoRaWAN in a city like Gurugram could result in public utility efficiencies savings of up to 30%.
For xelba, such partnerships provide ample publicity for us in both India and the UK, opening a vein of commercial demand for product. It also enables us to create both disruptive and diverse case studies of xelba in action.
We look forward to updating you all as the partnership progresses, and as we develop more of them.
